On 31 July, the Australia-China Relations Institute at UTS (UTS:ACRI) and the International Society for Energy Transition Studies (ISETS) co-hosted a roundtable focused on China’s energy and climate policy outlook and its implications for Australia.
Bringing together experts from government, industry, and academia, the event facilitated timely and constructive dialogue on regional energy transition challenges. Discussions highlighted Australia’s strategic potential in clean energy value chains through a hybrid model: ‘Australian-made; Australian-owned; Australian-programmed’.
A recent UTS:ACRI commentary, “Bridging Rhetoric and Reality in Australia–China Clean Energy Cooperation”, further explores this approach.
ISETS, a global platform based in Sydney, welcomed future collaboration opportunities to advance a just and inclusive energy transition. A group photo shared with participants captured the spirit of cooperation that defined the event.
