Held on Wurundjeri Country at CENTREPIECE Melbourne from 13–14 August 2025, the Australasian Emissions Reduction Summit brought together key voices from business, government, finance, and civil society to tackle the defining challenge of our time: accelerating the transition to net zero.
Under the theme “Next Steps for Net Zero,” the Summit took place at a pivotal global moment. With a new September deadline for 2035 emission reduction commitments looming, and geopolitical uncertainty testing international cooperation, discussions focused sharply on the social, technological, and commercial feasibility of achieving net zero in line with the Paris Agreement goals.
A Bold New Feature: The AER Innovation Hub
Making its debut in 2025, the AER Innovation Hub broke the mold of traditional conference content delivery. Designed as a bold, immersive space for real-time idea exchange and solution-focused dialogue, the Hub featured three themed Innovation Pavilions running simultaneously:
